Good Works Friday Night Supper - Volunteer Opportunity Fri., Jan 17
A message from Tara Gilts, Club Service Chair:
 
On Friday, January 17 Rotary will be preparing a meal for up to 150 guests at the Good Works Friday Night Supper at The Plains United Methodist Church. Your help is requested for this service activity! If you are available to volunteer please email or call Tara Gilts at (419) 356.8524 or at tara.gilts@ohiohealth.com and be sure to include how you would like to help. Spouses, children, friends, and colleagues are welcome to join us in service.
 
1. Preparing and serving the meal, eating with guests, and washing dishes on Friday, January 17 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at The Plains United Methodist Church:
10-14 volunteers needed
 
2. Purchasing supplies for the meal (to be reimbursed by the Rotary Foundation) before Friday, January 17 at 4 p.m.:
2-3 volunteers needed

Split the Pot Contest #37
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on January 6, 2020 was Susan Urano.  Susan collected the weekly split of $24 and then cut the 2 of Diamonds from the deck of cards.  So, the contest will continue next week with $513 in the accumulated pot and 28 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on December 16, 2019 was Jody Harris.  Jody collected the weekly split of $21 and then cut the 7 of Clubs from the deck of cards.  So, the contest will continue in January beginning with $489 in the accumulated pot and 29 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on December 9, 2019 was Mark Hutchinson.  Mark collected the weekly split of $22 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the Jack of Clubs from the deck.  So, the contest will continue next week with $468 beginning in the accumulated pot and 30 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on November 25, 2019 was, for the first time in three months, the pooling players at  Dave Palmer's table.  Don Fucci represented the table and collected the weekly split of $16 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the eight of Clubs from the deck.  So, the contest will continue December 9th with $446 beginning in the accumulated pot and 31 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on November 18, 2019 was Ed Zatta.  Ed collected the weekly split of $22 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the three of Diamonds from the deck.  So, the contest will continue next week with $430 beginning in the accumulated pot and 32 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on November 11, 2019 was Ed Peterson.  He collected the weekly split of $20 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the five of Diamonds from the deck.  So, the contest will continue next week with $408 beginning in the accumulated pot and 33 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on November 4, 2019 was Leslie Flemming.  Leslie collected the weekly split of $20 and then cut the six of Spades from the deck of cards.  So, the contest will continue next week with $388 beginning in the accumulated pot and 34 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on October 28, 2019 was Shane Jarrett.  He collected the weekly split of $20 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the Jack of Diamonds from the deck.  So, the contest will continue next week with $368 beginning in the accumulated pot and 35 cards in the deck.
 
The winner of the weekly Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship split the pot contest on October 21, 2019 was Dave Diggle.  Dave collected the weekly split of $23 but failed to collect the accumulated pot when he cut the five of Hearts from the deck.  So, the contest will continue next week with $348 beginning in the accumulated pot and 36 cards in the deck.
